ABOUT ASPEN HILL
Aspen Hill was established in March of 2001 and received their first residents on May 7, 2001. Later, we received our license as an Assisted Living Home through the state of Virginia on June 12, 2001. Aspen Hill’s logo is a design of three trees representing the three children of Vicky Newman, who are Stephen, Stephanie and Sean. This symbol is a reminder to her children, their family, and generations to come of their responsibility to each other and to the families they serve at Aspen Hill.

Assisted Living for Women

Ms. Newman started Aspen Hill Assisted Living with the help of her family and it is a family directed Assisted Living Home. Vicky is a nurse with a true passion for the caring of seniors and the aging person. Her desire is working with the elderly and providing them with an environment taken from all the necessities of home. She believes this begins in a place that feels like home, creating a sense of family and belonging. There is a reason why Vicky views this as imperative in developing Aspen Hill. Vicky, was raised next door to her grandmother, who was always a joy to her. She would stay almost every night with her grandmother until she graduated from high school. Upon graduating, her grandmother made it possible for her to attend nursing school, which Vicky felt was a tremendous gift. This gift would multiply the love and respect she had for her grandmother and ultimately all seniors the world over. Living next door to her grandmother Vicky gained an understanding of just how important family was in her own life. Nursing would then teach her the importance of integrity and instilled a deep desire to give exceptional care to those in need. This has lead Aspen Hill to provide crucial assistance and extraordinary care to individuals not able to do for themselves.

Vicky has learned that the greatest gift she could give others is an opportunity to do better, just as her grandmother did for her many years earlier. Therefore, at Aspen Hill Assisted Living Communities, we understand the meaning of family and the responsibility of giving back double fold to older adults and seniors. That’s why Aspen Hill strives to attain the highest level of Assisted Living standards for our residents. We understand that there is a sincere obligation to give back to our parents and grandparents who once gave us their all. Aspen Hill, and our staff, is committed to assisting residents with the appropriate love, respect and care they deserve.

Vicky Newman received her license as a Nursing Home Administrator through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, March 2, 1988. However her major emphasis is in nursing, with over 30 years experience in the healthcare profession. Vicky’s greatest asset is bringing together a team that has her passion of serving others. Therefore, Aspen Hill is dedicated to honoring those seniors who have influenced our lives and who once provided for us.
